The M&J Vending Company is headquartered in Alsip, Illinois. The company was founded and incorporated in Illinois by John A. Studnicka, Sr. and his wife Marilyn Studnicka in 1974.
Initially, M&J Vending Company's mission was to manage the merchandise operations at both Soldier Field and the Chicago Stadium. As equal partners, John and Marilyn operated the M&J Vending Company for more than 13 years until John's untimely death in 1987 and remained under Marilyn's ownership and control until her death in 2006.
Today, M&J Vending, Co., Inc. is majority owned and controlled by Melinda Korer-Studnicka who also serves as the company's President. Under Melinda's leadership the company has been involved in in the selling of merchandise at numerous memorable events at Soldier Field and U. S. Cellular Field. These events included:
- The Chicago Bears 1985-86 Super Bowl Championship season;
- The Chicago Fire 1998 MLS Championship season;
- The Chicago White Sox 2005 World Series Championship season and;
- Concerts such as the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, U-2, One Direction, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift.
The following is a summary of M&J Vending Company's sales activities:
- 1974 – Current – Company was contracted to manage Soldier Field special event merchandise sales;
- 1974 – 2001 – Company was contracted to manage Chicago Bears merchandise sales at Soldier Field;
- 1983 – Current – Company was contracted to operate merchandise trailers outside U.S. Cellular Field;
- 1992 – 2001 – Company was contracted to operate the Touchdown Sports retail store inside Soldier Field and from;
- 1998 – 2001 – Company was contracted to sell Chicago Fire merchandise at Soldier Field.
