At the age of 16 I became the first female to work as a seat vendor in the City of Chicago. I started out working for the Wrigley Family at Wrigley Field and Illinois Sportservice at Comiskey Park. M&J Vending’s competitors in the local concessions industry said that I wouldn't last a day. However, to the surprise of my critics, I remained working at the two stadiums throughout the rest of my high school years and for each year that I attended college earning a double major in Business and Communications from Northeastern Illinois University.
In 1985, after the Chicago Bears won Super Bowl XX, I began working for M&J Vending in the souvenir stands that were strategically placed throughout Soldier Field. I worked for M&J Vending in the souvenir stands for three years before eventually moving to the Product Distribution Room on game days. In the Distribution Room, I managed the distribution and placement of all Chicago Bear's merchandise sold at Soldier Field souvenir stands on game days. After proving myself on game days, I went on to work as M&J Vending's Product Distribution Manager for all special events held at Soldier Field. Managing special event sales at Soldier Field was extremely challenging, but always exciting!
Today, as the President and majority owner of M&J Vending Co.,Inc. I own and control a special event merchandise concessions company that has existing long-term engagements at Soldier Field and U.S. Cellular Field and I am experienced in every aspect of large scale special event merchandise concessions operations. For me concession sales is not just a job, it's my passion!
Under Melinda Studnicka's leadership, the M&J Vending Co., Inc. is providing its customers with efficient, honest and reliable service in the sale of special event merchandise items.
